Yay!! You are engaged>>> Now What?? Wedding planning is full of details and lists. There are so many important things to remember and it is often overwhelming on where to start the process. This checklist is meant to be a mini guide to help start the crazy process that is wedding planning. I spoke with other vendors in the area (photographers, florists, bakeries, etc.) to find the average + best time for you to book.
The first thing you need to do is sit down with whoever is helping you pay for the wedding + work on a reasonable budget.
The next thing is your guest count, you need this before you find a venue so you can ensure your venue can hold all of the guests.
After booking your venue, booking a photographer is next. Not only will they be taking your wedding photos, most will also do your engagement photos. They will be with you throughout your day + it is a true investment. You want to make sure you find a photographer who fits your style, budget, and someone that is easy to work with.
One of the last things you need to do early on in wedding planning is DRESS SHOPPING. Pros in the area suggest finding your dress as early as a year out + no later than 8 months out.
